Lion Lee Halfpenny
Six Cardiff Blues players have been selected for the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa.
Leigh Halfpenny, Tom Shanklin and Jamie Roberts are all selected in the backs, while Andy Powell, Martyn Williams and Gethin Jenkins are chosen in the forwards.
That's twice as many Blues players than last tour in 2005, when just Shankin, Williams and Jenkins went. It will be Halfpenny, Roberts and Powell's first Lions tours.
Cardiff make up 6 of the 13 Welsh players going on tour with the Ospreys also having 6 (5 Welsh and Tommy Bowe of Ireland), but Munster equal Newport and Leicetser's immense record of 8 included.
It's a record number of Cardiff Lions, equalling the 1968 tour, also to South Africa, when Gerald Davies, Gareth Edwards, Barry John, Keri Jones, John O’Shea and Maurice Richards were all included.
However there are a number of suprises, for example there's no place in the tour for Wales captain Ryan Jones, England captian Steve Borthwick and Scotland's Mike Blair, while several other big names also miss out.

Does anyone know if this is the record for the number of Cardiff players to make a Lions squad.
Congratulations to all concerned and good luck in SA.
