Robinson Vs SNK
Dai Young completed his 4th successive win over Gloucester, and his second at fortress Kingsholm in as many years as the Blues claimed a 26-25 in the LV Anglo-Welsh cup.
Despite missing 10 international players with Wales, as well as injuries to influential men such as Tito, Blair and Molitika, the Blues went to the South West with confidence and tried to take the game to their hosts.
However, the difference in class was apparent early on, as former Blues favourite Nicky Robinson guided his side to two first half tries before going off injured. Welshman Gareth Delve and flanker Adam Eustace both touched down for unconverted scores, but the boot of Ceri Sweeney and a converted Rush try kept the visitors in touch.

Sweeney and Freddie Burns traded penalties before Sam Norton-Knight touched down to put his side ahead for the first time, converted by Sweeney.
Carlos Spencer's two pens restored Gloucester with the lead, but Sweeney's last minute penalty was enough to snatch the victory.
It gives Young's men the best possible start to defending their Anglo-Welsh trophy, and the coach was delighted with his side's effort,
"To come to Kingsholm is always difficult, it was a tight game and it could have gone either way right up until the end. From our point of view we are thrilled to come away from here with the right result. I thought we showed a real togetherness, a real commitment to the cause and a real determination to get that victory. On a couple of occasions they got their noses in front but we stuck to our game plan and got what we deserved."

Quote:I got to be honest, I got a lot more confidence from the game. Do anyoner know why SKN's kick from his 22 to glos 22 was brought back? tThe refs decisision sure did silence both sets of fans and start a lot of head scratching!ATTR
Let's hope that both Sweeney and Two Dads get a lot of confiedence from that!

Quote:The ball was picked up in field by glos and it was a scrum from the place the kick was takedn from. Only thought was players infront of the kicker (SNK) and not reatreating but I don't think so.ATTRQuote:tony gee

Can you put some meat on the bones here?
I.e.
Did the kick go into touch? On the full or after bouncing? Did he award a scrum / lineout / free kick or penalty?

pitty Andy Powell wasn't playing he could have taken the drop outs.
Quote:SNK had a good game and some great kicks. Couple of errors as you expect but overall good preformance.Sweeny also had a good game and his last kick was unbelivable (because it was him I think) Don't want to take anything away from the Blues in a game most had given into defeat. Great day.Huwie
I was making a quip at mongo's drop kick at goal the other week.
I dunno who took the drop outs.
