15. K Morgan (5) - Really quiet game and not required to do much, then again should he try and get involved more?
14. D James (6) - You know what you're going to get with Daf, bags of experience and won't let you down, solid.
13. T Shanklin (8) - I thinking we should rest him for the French game, we need him so badly at the moment, playing great rugby, dynamic.
12. G Thomas (7) - Best game for some time, looking like he'll be lining up at 12 come the world cup.
11. M Jones (5) - Quite, same comments as Kev Morgan apply.
10. J Hook (5) - The sublime followed by one of the worst kicking displays I've ever seen, needs to tighten up the basics of the 10 shirt.
9. D Peel (7) - With a bit of platform he was able to show the player he can be, good help the opposition if we get parity.
8. A Popham (5) - Big and aggressive but faded in and out.
7. M Williams (6) - Showed the value of a true 7 at the breakdown where Wales won more clean ball in the first 20mins that they did at HQ.
6. J Thomas (6) - Tidy display and made his mark in an improved line out, in with a shout at 6.
5. AW Jones (9) - Great display from the youngster, really carried the fight to Argentina as part of an impressive lock pairing MOTM.
4. I Gough (8) - Massive physicality and aggression that was missing at HQ, nailed on for the Wales 4 shirt now.
3. A Jones (8) - I've slated the guy in the past for not being at the races, but today he was and edged the classy Roncero.
2. M Rees (4) - All his work round the park gets forgotten when the line out still doesn't function and you get sin binned.
1. D Jones (8) - Committed effort from Dunc and back to his 05/06 best, match saving tackle.
Subs of note:
Gethin Jenkins looked solid enough but might now be behind Duncan.
Argentina Stars:
Corletto finished a great try off so deserves a mention, apart from that they were a bit quiet.
Overall Comments:
Firstly the match should have been over as a contest after 31 mins when Borges should have got a straight red card for a tackle whilst Kev was miles in the air and could have broken his neck, the fact the ref saw the incident and didn't have the bottle to show red says a lot about modern day officials.
On the match what a difference a week makes and an entirely different team.
The first half was the best Wales have had under Gyppo's reign, they gained parity against the Pumas and ran them ragged out wide, they were lucky not be 40 points down.
The 2nd half Wales went back to london and didn't play and that frankly isn't good enough.
But all things in I'd have bitten your hand off for this result a fortnight ago and the World Cup rodeo is back on the road!
