we'd struggled to beat the Canadians
until they tired late in the game,
but against the men from Down Under,
we couldn't rely on the same.

A kick each opened the scoring
but then they went in for a try,
a drop kick stretched their lead further
and we failed to make a reply

Hook was brought on in the centre,
I must say, much to my delight,
but he failed to make an impression
and our boys were losing the fight.

We just couldn't break thru their defences
and aimlessly just passed the ball,
it's as if we had no other options
coz our kicking game's no good at all.

They ran in two more before half-time,
which put them more than twenty ahead
any hopes that we'd had of winning
were replaced now with feelings of dread.

Early on in the second Jon Tomas went in
but they were still fifteen ahead
A penalty kick cut their lead down to twelve
"We've still got a chance boys!" I said.

But Latham went in for a beautiful try,
one that he both made and scored.
and tho we did manage to score one more try
in truth our hopes had been floored.

Now some around Wales they are happy
but me well I'm feeling quite flat,
ok I have high expectations
but c,mon boys we're better than that!
