| Williams, Martyn
Flanker Biography: Martyn established himself as first choice open side ahead of the suspended Brett Sinkinson in 2000, having been on the fringes of breaking through for some time. Williams made the Welsh number seven shirt his own, forcing his way onto Graham Henry's Lions tour, only to miss out on a test spot. The Pontypridd product continued to cement his place with more typically committed displays, with his notably high work rate at ruck's and
mauls. However Steve Hansens' desire to play a more physical game, saw Williams dropped from the back row onto the bench for the 2004 six
nations, with Colin Charvis moving to first choice number seven, subsequently the Cardiff player has struggled to re-capture his past form
demoted to only being an impact player. Site Awards: |
