| Sweeney, Ceri
Outside Half Biography: Ceri Sweeney first came to the attention of Welsh rugby after playing a dazzling part in Wales' under 19 World cup runners up in 1999, and then for Pontypridd at senior level in their Parker Pen cup run in 2002. Such form earned himself a spot in Wales' 2002 autumn campaign squad, eventually breaking through into the starting XV against England the following February. A pivotal player with a solid boot, Sweeney has done little wrong in international rugby. With a little more experience under his belt, Mike Ruddock would be foolish to ignore him as a more attacking option at outside half. Site Awards: |
