Investec Challenge Match - France v England

18th August 2007(Marseille, kick-off 9pm local time, 8pm UK time)

England Head Coach Brian Ashton today announced the England starting XV and bench to play France in the second Investec Challenge match at Marseille this Saturday, August 18.

England take on France in Marseilles for the final  warm up match prior to the Rugby World Cup.  Head Coach Brian Ashton  took everyone by surprise and announced his final 30 man squad for the Rugby World Cup a day early and now  as the dust has settled we have his selection for this final warm up game.   Ashton stated he would be fielding his strongest side in this match.

Marseilles is not the easiest of place to go to and get a win, so for England this will be a huge challenge.   However, I personally think it is not beyond this team but they will have to work extremely hard as a unit and be solid in their defence.  I will be looking for players to be unselfish and pass the ball and to not mess up chances at this level.  I expect England to play to their strengths, so we will no doubt see the pack being very dominant once again.
