Four years ago England won the 2003 Rugby World Cup final amid dramatic scenes in the last minute of extra time.

Since that famous evening in Sydney it has been a long and sometimes tough journey as England have sought to recapture that winning form, ready for the 2007 RWC in France.

With three home wins in this year’s RBS 6 Nations Tournament, including an excellent victory over eventual champions France in March, England are beginning to recapture the form needed to mount a credible bid to defend their title at this year’s Rugby World Cup.

The hour long ITV documentary follows England’s roller coaster ride through the 2007 RBS 6 Nations, the South Africa Tour and Investec Challenge warm up matches.

It includes intimate access to the squad during their training camp in Portugal and tour to South Africa where they battle to overcome illness and injury, not to mention one of the toughest opponents in world rugby. Interviews with Head Coach Brian Ashton and senior players such as Phil Vickery and Jonny Wilkinson offer an insight into the squad's preparations ahead of their opening match against the USA on Saturday.
