So why doesn't Rob Webber get a start?

Graham Rowntree singled him out for praise last week. What does he get? The chance to sit on the bench and watch somebody who wasn't even an original choice.

""When we got Brad we thought, 'Let's not bring him all this way to sit on the bench'. It was the same for Phil. We wanted to give him a start.
"They are good guys and were unlucky to miss out, frankly."

The words of our leader.

So, three replacements for original selections all get starts, and an original selection does not. Is the inference that Rob Webber is not a good guy, and was lucky not to miss out?

I think Webbers a good player - I'd have started him with Chuter on the bench

Yet another fine example of the great morale boosting leader
at work. Let me guess, it will be Warren Gatland's and Shaun Edwards' fault!

Much as I like him as a player, Charile Hodgson should no longer be considered for any England teams unless every other candidate is broken.

Otherwise, not a bad team, but some of the picks are a bit odd.

Looks a decent side. Don't like 9 and 15 but then Youngs and Foden can't start every game!

Surprised at Chuter starting, as I have said earlier on the Wasps board I expected Webber to start this one.

Very strong team and it has to be. Good to see them giving starts to Barritt and Dowson, be good to see what they can do.

Both Dowse and Barritt have a real chance to make an impact for future selections as the test XV doesn't seem to be settled in their positions.

I hope both of them, but especially Dowse for obvious Saintly reasons, have a blinder and show what they are capable of.

The Maori are a very strong side so this will be a very stern challenge.

Agree tigersfan1. Unfortunately the England attacking game will probably be strangled at 9.
