England Saxons today named the side for their opening Churchill Cup game against the USA at Northampton  There are only two survivors from the team that beat Canada 38-18 to claim the trophy in New Jersey last summer with scrum half Micky Young (Newcastle Falcons) in the starting line-up and full back Alex Goode (Saracens) on the bench.

England U20 Head Coach Rob HunterEngland U20 name side to face Ireland in the opening match of the 2011 Junior World Championship in Treviso, Italy   Head Coach Rob Hunter has picked the same starting XV that beat Ireland 46-15 in March to claim their first 6 Nations Grand Slam win since 2008.  Newcastle Falcons No. 8 Alex Gray will skipper the side, while Aviva Premiership winner Owen Farrell starts as a replacement.

England U20 beaten 33-22 in JWC Final  A spirited England Under 20 side were unable to complete their Italian job after suffering final heartache against New Zealand, losing 33-22 in Padova, Italy.

ENGLAND names 45-strong Preliminary Training Squad for RWC   

England Team Manager Martin Johnson said: “Every one of these players has the chance to be in that final 30 going to New Zealand. The camp is going to be intense and competitive, as you would expect leading up to a World Cup, but all the players are ready for it.

“We have guys such as Lewis, Jonny and Mike Tindall who have been in this situation before but also a lot of players who won’t have experienced a World Cup training camp. It’s now up to all of them to set down their marker over the next 10 weeks before we head to New Zealand.”

England Women's squad to compete in this summer’s U20 Nations Cup The tournament, which also includes the USA, Canada and South Africa will take place between the 14th- 23rd July at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

England Women's Squad Announced for West Country 7s   2010 World Cup Finalists, Heather Fisher and Danielle Waterman are called up to bring experience to the maturing side and are named alongside Worcester’s Sarah Guest.  Sally Tuson, Charlotte Wild and, Rugby Rocks three time try scorer, Charlotte Keane stand down.

England Women's Squad announced for Newquay 7s  Worcester’s Katherine Merchant is the only newcomer to the squad that made the West Country 7s final earlier this month. There is, however, no place for Natasha Brennan, Natasha Hunt or Ruth Laybourn as Head Coach Barry Maddocks rotates his squad.
