JULY IN REVIEW:

The beginning of the month saw Clive Woodward England's Head Coach signing a new extended contract, which will take him through to the next World Cup in 2007. This has to be good news for Team England!

***

Jim Mallinder and Steve Diamond completing an excellent stint coaching and selecting the England 'A' team on tour - with wins for England 'A' against Japan in Tokyo, having already won the Inaugural Churchill Cup. This resulted in a number of players from the England 'A' team being invited to join the 43 man World Cup Warm Trial Squad.

The England squad linked up on the 21st of July at Pennyhill Park Hotel - England's Training Camp base for their pre-World Cup Matches:-

23/8/03 Wales v England Cardiff

30/8/03 France v England Marseilles

6/9/03 England v France Twickenham

NB: Tickets still available for these matches via Tesco (Wales Match) and Ticketmaster.

Barney Burnham our Unofficial England Roving Reporter gave us two Exclusives:-

Damian Hopley the player's representative talking about the Rugby World Cup Agreement - which I am pleased to say they have now signed and an Interview with Will Green (Wasps) on his thoughts about his inclusion into the England squad.

***

And there is still time to put those your questions you have always wanted to ask Martin Johnson - the answers to be published in the Special World Cup edition of England Rugby, on sale September 22nd.

***

The Tri-Nations competition showed the All Blacks 'on-song' and the Vodaphone Wallabies - once again needing to phone lots of friends as they wobbled on the knife edge of the Media Press. In particular Eddie Jones being put to the sword and coming up with his thoughts on the Rugby World Cup 2007 - how it will be played tactically ? - Question: What about this World Cup Eddie?

All-in-all, a busy month and August looking even better - Oh and the weather was HOT!
