Interesting Facts:

* The Gloucester prop, with his 50-inch chest, 19-stone bulk and oriental tattoo - which translates as 'I'll fight you to the death' - is an intimidating opponent for anyone.

* Phil Vickery was obviously first choice in my World XV - allblacks.xtra.

* Phil and other England players backed Cancer Research UK's SunSmart initiative to encourage people to protect themselves from the sun and be more aware of the dangers of skin cancer.

* Crew from HMS Northumberland at the 50th London Boat Show were clearly in the right place at the right time to meet RWC medallist Phil who was with fellow player Andy Gomarsall on the Fairline stand that day..
