Jonny Wilkinson - Competition - Painting Print

We are delighted at Unofficial England Rugby in conjunction with bigart.co.uk, to advise our posters of our next Competition!!.

England's world famous Fly Half Jonny Wilkinson has been captured beautifully for all time, by Artist Julian Kirk of BigArt, in that rugby world cup winning kick pose!  Julian who founded BigArt after many years working as a studio artist and illustrator in Britain and abroad wanted to establish an Internet-based art gallery and so evolved BigArt.  

Julian took time out of his busy schedule to speak to Unofficial England Rugby and tell us what had inspired him to paint Jonny as he did.

"It was a fairy tale played out on national television. I could hardly bear to watch the final and kept going into the kitchen. But when the kick came I saw it live and gave the biggest cheer this house has ever heard. It was a splendid English sporting moment, and I felt compelled to capture it in a picture. I did an oil painting in a fluid style which seems to suit the spontaneous nature of the event.  The moment just before Jonny's  boot hits the ball is packed with potential energy. JONNY WILKINSON - FREE TO ENTER COMPETITION - UPDATE

All we want you to do is register on our message board here ...Unofficial England Message Board saying hello and advising that you are sending by email, what you think is your best photo of yourself in an England Rugby Shirt!   

For the purpose of this competition we define an England Rugby Shirt as one of the following.  Any Official England Shirt, a Replica Shirt, or Polo type shirt, Sweatshirt with the England Rose logo on it, Cross of St. George, old official logo, new official logo, old style shirts with 5nations logo.  Please just have a go!

The Competition will run from April until the end of September 2004 so you will have plenty of time to get that snazzy photo to us.  

bigart.co.uk will select the final winner, there will be a runner up second prize of a World Champions 2003 poster 16"x11"

Terms & Conditions:

• Posters must be registered with sportnetwork.net with a valid user name and email address.
• The selected photo at the end of the competition is Final and binding.
• Nobody from Sportnetwork.net,  bigart.co.uk, Kath(Editor) Claire(Assistant Editor) (or our direct family) can participate.  
• No cash alternative will be provided.  
• We reserve the right to remove people from the competition if they are abusive on the site in any way.
• For the purposes of the Competition and your use of the Site our computer record of your entry on the message board stating that you have forwarded your photos will  not be considered to be your entry - you must forward the photo by email to one of the Editors! The Organisers have the right to reject what, in their sole discretion, what they consider to be incomplete, inaccurate or corrupted entries. The decision of the Organisers as to whether an entry is incomplete, inaccurate or corrupted is final
• The judges decision is final.
• The Winner will be notified by e-mail within 14 days of winning.
• The receipt, by you if you are a winner, of any prize is conditional upon compliance with any and all laws, rules and regulations including, without limitation, these Terms of Use.
• The Winner agrees that neither the Organisers nor their employees shall have any liability in connection with the acceptance or use of any of the prize. The Organisers have the right to use the winner's name for publicity purposes and the winner agrees to such use.
