England Expects! All Blacks vs England Preview
By Claire J
June 17 2004
So England move on to the second test still smarting from a terrible display in Dunedin. This is a case of England expects - the players need to front up and show the grit and determination we have come to expect from them.
The fowards have in particular to meet the challenge of an All Blacks pack who played out of their skins last weekend. They were outmuscled, out thought and if Dallaglio wants passion he needs to demonstrate it himself in the white shirt of England in the same way as he does the black shirt of Wasps.

There are six changes from the side that lost last weekend with four of the players dropped - Thompson, Simpson-Daniel, Catt and Jones not even making the bench.

I’ve given up making predictions as the crystal ball is clearly malfunctioning but I hope that the game is far more of a contest this time. I want to see the ball move through the midfield much faster, I want to see a captain leading his troops not looking like a lost soul, I want to see a forward pack that takes the contest to the All Blacks.

So you lot - England Expects!
