Be Gone Sir  - Away with you !

Well yes that is how perhaps some of us feel at the moment.  Many fans have expressed their anger and disappointment with Sir Clive's decision to walk the walk!

Here are just some expressions from our fans.....Gutted,  disillusioned with Woodward's conduct, I am truly shocked and upset,   this departure stinks .......... plus many more that are not printable here.

I however, feel if someone no longer has the appetite for the job, then it is best that he or she goes and goes quickly.

Having said, that I would truly like to thank Sir Clive Woodward for getting us to the Rugby World Cup Final and winning that wonderful prize.  Nothing can take that away from both Sir Clive, the management or players.   That was a splendid job well done!

But things and people move on, the club vs. country row and release of players obviously has not helped and whilst on the whole many of us would agree that country comes before club.  There are many more who feel differently and that the clubs have given enough to the England cause.

The regular Zurich Premiership Club fans are being short changed, their England players must only play 32 games and have a 11 week rest.  They must seriously wonder why buy a season ticket?  This was never going to be a happy marriage between club and country but up to now it has produced the goods.

2/9 Updated   The RFU have now accepted Sir Clive's resignation.    Thank you Sir Clive for some wonderfull memories and we wish you Good Luck for the future.
