Jonny Wilkinson - Ex England Captain
England Head Coach Andy Robinson offered the job to Jonny with the intention of Jonny leading England up to the 2007 Rugby World Cup, Jonny responded with a resounding yes. However, it did not last for long as Jonny has been out of action due to injury.
Jonny has always stated that it was his childhood dream and ambition to Captain his country and now the baton has been handed to him. He is looking forward to the responsibility and does not feel it will affect his game.
Jonny led England out only once before, he stood in for Martin Johnson when injured against Italy two years ago and prior to that match Jonny said
"Leading England out at Twickenham is something I used to dream of doing when I was 10 or 11 playing mini-rugby,"

It still amazing to reflect that Jonny made England debut on the 4/2/98 against Ireland. Since then he has achieved so much in his sporting career.

In 2003 he became the youngest ever Rugby Union player to receive a New Year's Honour with an MBE, and received an OBE in 2004.
Unofficial England Rugby would like to wish Jonny the very best for the future, he is a fantastic role model for all youngsters who watch rugby union around the world.
