England Sevens team lose out on the final day of the IRB Singapore Sevens. They had battled hard only to fall at the final hurdle.

New Zealand who are the IRB Sevens defending champions, gave England a stern test, leading 21-0 at half time.   Danny Hipkiss scored England's only try but overall a disappointing final for England.  The win all but assures them of their sixth IRB Sevens series win, their 92 points 28 ahead of both England and Fiji on 64.

England Captain Simon Amor had said after the first day:-

"When it gets down to day two they're all big games, and especially in this heat anything can happen really."

Oh well, only pride to play for now in the final two round of the IRB series.
