England's May 2005 in review. Well it was rather like an end of term for the Zurich Premiership but that did not last long on the international scene as the Baa Baas swung into town.

England's May 2005 - Well it was rather like an end of term for the Zurich Premiership but that did not last long on the international scene as the Baa Baas swung into town.

 

The month kicked off with England naming their 29 man squad in preparation for the Tibco Challenge on the 28th May 2005. Then we had the star studded even of the PRA Computacenter Awards -  Players’ Player of the Year 2005 was Leicester Tigers’ Martin Corry voted for by his fellow players after a tremendous season for both club and country.

 Nigel Melville - Our Claire reviews his thoughts from his article in The Guardian where he strongly questioned the current England plans for the Churchill Cup and coaching support for the Lions tour. Melville’s argument is compelling – he states that the English national side stopped progressing on 22 November 2003. Team England’s Priorities

 

  Because of the amount of rugby during the coming months we thought it would be a good idea to make a list of the TV coverage England Rugby d by the various channels in 2005. Eng Rugby TV Coverage   Just a taster of what is in store for June with England of course lots with the Lions on Sky!
