Tonight I had the opportunity to pass on our best wishes to Martin Corry and his team. On behalf of everybody on the site, I wished Martin well for the Investec Challenge series. Martin was surprised and delighted and thanked us for our support.

Tonight I had the opportunity to pass on our best wishes to Martin Corry and his team. On behalf of everybody on the site, I wished Martin well for the Investec Challenge series. Martin was surprised and delighted and thanked us for our support.

I work away from home a significant proportion of my time so it’s a real bonus when I get chance to do something interesting!! I arrived to find the inevitable queue – standing in the cold under the north stand, I described myself as mad in an email to Kath.20 minutes later I was talking to the England captain and wishing him well and watching him sign my precious purchase a new England shirt. Next was Chris Jones – I admire Chris – I think he’s a great player, mobile, hardworking and adds pace to the back row. And he’s a lovely chap too – clearly still enjoying meeting and talking to the supporters. Next was Mark Cueto – a quiet reserved chap he seemed bemused by the whole thing.

Next was Josh Lewsey – you know if a photo was going to be taken it was Josh and usually the picture was taken with a girl meeting THE player in the England team. To be honest, he looked and sounded rather bored by the whole thing – I have some sympathy if he has to endure the constant attention as he did tonight.Lewis Moody and Matt Stevens seemed more interested in giving Josh stick. Either way, they all signed my shirt with a smile and thank you.A very smiley Andy Robinson was also talking to the supporters – he looks a very relaxed man and I was impressed by the time he took to talk to supporters old and very young!And thank you guys for brightening up my Monday… and I as I said to England’s captain…
