Director of Rugby Phil Maynard was not blaming him players. "It was one of those days when everything went the wrong way. It was unbelievable. We have conceded more in the last two games than in the previous five."
"We have got to get back to basics and stop leaking points. We have got to start closing things down"
"We have been papering over the cracks but we have players out injured. We have no Rob Hurrell or Jim Jenner and we have injured players on the bench"
Bees fell behind in the seventh minute when Roman Piotrowski was deceived by a cross field kick which gave Mike Staten an opening try. Full back Leigh Hinton added the two extras and a penalty. Fly half Tim Walsh got Bees on the board with a penalty after 17 minutes before Walsh and Shaun Woof combined well to put Dave Knight over in the corner.
Walsh missed the conversion and that was the last time they troubled the scoreboard.
When Bedford pushed over Canadian debutant Milan Mrdjenoukh, Bees lost the plot with two more tries going in- from Hinton and hooker Chris Johnson- either side of half time.
