There is no doubt what Phil Maynard would like to find in his stocking on Christmas morning - a bundle of money to help freshen up his Pertemps Bees squad.
Sadly for the part-timers from Sharmans Cross Road that dream is a long way off and the director of rugby will have to make do with a tired team, clearly lacking in confidence.
"If you want to see a rainbow then you have to have the rain and we are well and truly in the rain at the moment," said Maynard.
"Every little mistake we make seems to turn into a disaster, we are just not getting the rub of the green. Ideally I'd like to bring in a couple of new faces but the money just isn't there."
With a Powergen Cup clash against Premiership outfit Leeds on the horizon, a concerned Maynard knows that a performance on par with the one against Sedgley Park would spell disaster.
"If we play like that against Leeds next week it will be the most embarrassing moment of our playing careers, simple as that," he said.
In an ideal world, with Jim Jenner back in the starting line-up, Bees should have stormed back to winning ways against a Sedgley Park side who had only won on three occasions all season.
However, a poor Bees outfit-came up against a tight and organised Sedgley team and the visitors slid to a fifth consecutive league defeat.
Rather than being hit by the X-factor, Bees received a dose of the F-factor in the form of Feeney and Feeley.
Park fly-half Blair Feeney and winger Jonathon Feeley both racked up a healthy points tally against their Midlands visitors.
The speedy Feeley opened the scoring with a try on 22 minutes, paving the way for Feeney to step up and convert.
The Brummies hit back instantly when Mark Woodrow charged through the centre before feeding Mike Davies who slid under the posts for a try. Tim Walsh made it 7- 7 with the conversion.
But two Feeney penalties and a second try, this time unconverted, for Feeley on the half-hour mark handed the hosts a comfortable interval lead.
Bees looked like they were set to strike back in the second half when Paul Knight ignored two challenges to touch down in the left hand corner five minutes after the break. Walsh again converted.
Two more Sedgley tries swiftly shattered any hopes of a comeback for the visitors. Feeley latched onto his own kick to dive over on 52 minutes and Richard Welding burst through for the second six minutes later.
Victory was now firmly in sight for the Lancashire side and Feeney kicked a third penalty and when Matt Miles went through for Bees' third converted try it was greeted with a sarcastic cheer from the home fans.
A fourth penalty from Feeney on the stroke of fulltime firmly put the final boot in a miserable performance for Bees.
