Bees 71-15 Cardiff
By Elliott Josypenko
August 29 2005
What a change from a fortnight ago. Stunning weather reduced everyone to T-shirts and shorts, and the great conditions underfoot allowed some fantastic running rugby.
The match was played as two smaller matches. A Bees A team played the first half against Cardiff and managed to go in at the break 15-5 up.

In the second half, an almost completely different team played, although against the same tiring Cardiff players. The Bees used this as a chance to show off their new shirts. Black with red and yellow stripes, they look very stylish and should sell well.

The final score was 71-15 although the fast nature of the game surely had an effect on the Cardiff forwards.

Bees themselves were rampant. Pretty much everyone played well, and most things went to plan. We were still giving away a few silly penalties but that was improving as the game went on. Tom Beim scored a good hattrick including one from his own half and will surely be a handful for the Quins match next week.
