The Cornish Pirates kick off their year of celebration on Sunday when Nottingham visit the Menaye Field in Penzance

This opening match of the Greene King IPA Championship should be a cracker and set up a day to party at the Mennaye.

The Pirates are celebrating ten years as Cornish Pirates and a the Stadium For Cornwall now on track to open in August 2017.

These are hugely exciting times to be a Pirate and they are expecting a large celebratory crowd.

They are advising people to buy advance tickets to avoid the queues and save money into the bargain.

The Pirates have selected a strong side that includes 3 new faces. Full-back Toby May and scrum half Alex Day are both set to start, whilst Will Cargill takes a place on the bench.
