"I'm still smarting from last time out here and we need to make up for that," said Davey, who continues his run at fly-half tomorrow.
"We have to start winning at home where results really count, and with ten games to go we need a big performance at home to galvanise our season."
Cov went down 24-16 at Bedford in early October, a result which Davey felt slightly flattered his side. "We were well beaten on the night.
"We didn't play particularly well, but what we did do was defend well.
"Bedford are a good side and well coached by Mike Rayer, but I think we are a bit of a different animal at the moment. It will be a tough game, but I'm looking forward to it.
"I'm happy with the way we are playing and putting a bit of pride back in the jersey.
"It's a massively important game for us and will be a reflection of where we've come from."
Captain and leading points scorer Ben Russell misses the game after picking up a back injury in the 25-13 victory at Rotherham, and is replaced by Donovan Sanders who is himelf returning from a rib injury.
It is the only change to the 22-strong squad with full-back Ben Toft and flanker Henno Venter both recovering from the knocks that forced them off at Rotherham.
Coventry:Toft; Johnson, Sanders, Dorrian, Montague; Davey, Jones; Rimmer, Whitehead, Brits, O Hodge, Nimmo, Venter, Clayton, McGlone. Reps: Parry, Slater, Maddocks, Friswell, Gillanders, D Hodge, Rheeders.
