Bid for hat-trick

HOLDERS Coventry & Mid-Warwickshire bid for a hat-trick of District Union titles when they play South Warwickshire in the final of this season's competition at Butts Park Arena next Wednesday (7.30pm). Dave Weston added a touchline conversion to a try from Dunlop clubmate Tom O'Toole as C&MW completed the pool games by coming from behind to edge out Nuneaton & North Warwickshire 7-5.

* OLD WHEATLEYANS stage a memorial game for popular player David Haigh, who died recently from cancer at the age of 40, tomorrow at Norman Place Road (2.15pm). All former Wheats players, friends and relatives of David are invited to turn up to play or watch - further information from Richard Hartopp 07798 672172.

* TRINITY GUILD'S veterans play a select club side in tomorrow's Pete Beaufoy Memorial game at Rowley Road (3pm) - all welcome.

* DUNLOP will be at home to Old Coventrians in next Wednesday's semi-finals of the Coventry & Mid-Warwickshire 2nd XV Cup while Earlsdon entertain Broadstreet.

Street edged through 11-10 in their quarter-final at Barkers Butts, Earlsdon scored the only try to beat Coventry Welsh 8-3, and Dunlop were 34-10 winners at Pinley.

The final is at Butts Park Arena on April 30 (7.30pm).
