By Coventry Telegraph April 28 2008 WARWICKSHIRE hold their final development squad training session at Broadstreet on Monday before naming their squad for the County Champion-ship. Promoted back to the top tier of the competition following their victory in last year's Shield final, the County are away to Lancashire at Preston on May 3 before home games against Yorkshire (May 10, Nuneaton) and Cheshire (May 17, Butts Park Arena).
Some 40 players have been involved in development sessions with head coach John Widdowson assisted by Murray Henderson and Pete Glackin, since the middle of March and a warm-up game against the British Prison Service at Stratford produced an 80-point win. The squad includes members of the Warwickshire Under-21 team and players from University of Warwick and Coventry University.
