"Leicester are really happy with the way Rickie has progressed and his time with us, and he is enjoying the environment at the club and is happy with his game," said Umaga.
"He's a very talented young lad and it's great to have him with us. It's good for me to know that I can build on the squad with a quality fly-half in place, it's something we were lacking this season and particularly in the early part.
"I already know I can go into next season with confidence in our fly-half."
Leicester may also point a loose forward in Nuneaton's direction, and Umaga will be looking at prospective players and those staying from his current squad at some off-season workshops, the first on May 20-21.
"It's to monitor players and to have any potential new arrivals down at the club for an assessment," he said. "Knowing what has happened this season, the days of a two-month lay-off and then a return to training have long gone.
"It's a year-round thing now. We need to monitor the boys, and they will all have programmes to follow over the summer. "If they want to play National League rugby it's what they have to do, and I'm pretty sure they won't let us or themselves down."
