Knight brothers set to leave Pertemps Bee
By Sunday Mercury
May 24 2008
PERTEMPS Bees' Knight brothers will end their long association with the club - with newly-promoted Cinderford the likely destination. Scrum-half Paul and full-back Dave have become victims of Bees' plans to turn full-time next season as neither can commit due to their jobs outside of rugby.

Both are keen to play closer to their hometown of Gloucester and Cinderford, who were promoted into National Two after a play-off victory over Darlington Mowden Park, seem ideal. Dave is also in talks with Moseley, where his older brother spent a season in 2006/07.

Matt Long, recently named supporters' player-of-the-season, will be the only exception to Bees' full-time set-up next season as the reliable prop will continue to hold down his day job.

Bees are still holding out hope of avoiding relegation to National Two after appealing against the decision to deny them four match points from January's home game against the Cornish Pirates, where the visitors went to uncontested scrums.
