Business as usual for Pertemps Bees
By Birmingham Mail
June 10 2008
PERTEMPS Bees are continuing their rebuilding as they prepare for next season in either National One or National Two – depending on their ongoing appeal over a disputed result – with their first full-time squad. Coach Russell Earnshaw has announced the signing of Eugene Martin as backs coach. The former New Zealand Maori three-quarter, who was Rotherham assistant coach last season,
worked with Earnshaw and fly-half signing Mark Woodrow at Doncaster the previous season.

No.8 Leo Halavatua has signed up for another season and Earnshaw said he has also signed Craig Voisey, a tight-head prop from Belfast Harlequins.

Voisey, 23, was signed by the Irish side from Bridgend Ravens and is a former U19 Irish Exiles player, who has represented Welsh Universities.

Bees have also signed lock John Harlock form National Two highfliers Cambridge.

Earnshaw said: "We now have 22 players in the squad and if we are in National Two next season we will need three or four more players, seven or eight if we are in National One.''
