"We believe that something has got to change and we have been working to find a way of securing the long term future of CRFC," said Robbins.
"The bond appeal was a fantastic success, and it sent out a message that the support for CRFC in Coventry is as strong as it ever was.
"We both fear the club is unsustainable in its current circumstances and that it will fold if something radical is not done. We are seeking talks with the people concerned.
"Our proposals would pretty much restore the club to its position when it was based at Coundon Road as a members club.
Said Carvell: "We now believe the best way forward is not proprietory ownership but by returning the club to membership status. This format has been successfully used by other clubs such as Moseley and Bedford.
"In that way confidence can be restored for the fans who have remained loyal throughout all this. It was the fans who got the bond together for that alone they deserve a little stability in their lives."
