DIVIDED LOYALTIES
By Vespasian
October 31 2008
London Wasps host Newport Gwent Dragons this weekend more in hope than in expectation. Eight players are away on international duty while we expect Gloucester to prevail over an ailing Newcastle. This match does offer the opportunity for our younger players to impress as we enter a traditionally dark month, form-wise.

The third rubber of this increasingly tiresome competition is nearly always dead for most teams. Unless Gloucester trip up on their trip up north, London Wasps can treat this game as a training run out for its squad.

There are welcome returns for several of London Wasps squad, while several of the newer players make the bench. Joe Worsley dons the captain's armband during his benefit season. Former Wasp, Adam Black props against Pat Barnard.

Dragons have lost their last two games. Wasps are looking to make it two wins out of two, even if we can't progress in the competition. It's November, we'll take any positive we can grab with both hands! Wasps by 5 on a grey, damp squib of a day...
