Nuneaton 38 Kendal 32

By Coventry Telegraph.

FULL-back Jamie Barnard and winger Elliot Brown claimed two tries apiece as the Nuns edged out their Cumbrian visitors in this thrilling Liberty Way encounter.

But they had to hold on at the death as Kendal launched a spirited fightback.

Coach Mike Umaga could not have wished for a better start from his side as the Nuns bagged a brace of tries inside the opening few minutes, Barnard and lock Llyr Griffiths going over.

Brown and scrum-half Huw Thomas then racked up the bonus point with further tries, Kendal’s only reply coming from the boot of Mark Ireland as they found themselves 24-3 in arrears.
