The Coventry Rugby side to face Macclesfield away at Priory Park this coming Saturday 25th October 2014, with kick off at 3.00 pm, has just been announced.

It shows just one change from the squad that beat Richmond last Saturday, with a first game for newly signed hooker Finlay Sinclair in place of Matt Price, and two positional , with Jordan Onojaife coming  in from the replacements in an exchange for Scott Morgan, whilst at scrum-half there is a similar change with Louis Silver exchanging places with Wayne Evans. Finlay Sinclair aged 21 comes from fellow National League 1 club Cinderford whom he joined at the start of last season from Birmingham Solihull.

Do we know why the changes have been made. If injuries what are they?

I should imagine Scott just needs a rest!
Interesting that we are starting with a new hooker!? Who is the replacement?

Mikey, they are not injuries, as with the exception of the hooker they are straight exchanges with the bench. Virtually always these days all bench players get used.

Finlay Sinclsir has come to us from Cinderford. He played for the joint debt XV at Broadstreet against Oxford Ini.

Last weekend he was the forward 'travelling reserve' - the additional forward selected as cover in case a forward drops out at the lastinite. I would expect ghat Matt P will fulfill the same role this week. Chris Locke is, I presume, on his 3rd (mandatory) week off after a head injury.

I'm not sure who'll ve the equivalent backs 'travelling teserve' - there is one of each for every match, just in case.

Thanks Nick. Just thought that the injury list was growing. Any news on JLR. I heard there were a lot of players playing for BS on sat (cov not just 15 &#128538winking smiley

I don't think JlR is quite back to 100% yet. George Olivrr is, but given how well Gareth Turner's been doing at 7, that's going to be a hard call.
It'll be interesting to hear who does play at BS - they need to get their season going if they're to make safety in N2N. I don't see it though, as I'll be up at Macc

I take it that Gareth Turner will also cover the back-up Hooker role?

That's my guess too JBW. I'm not sure who would go to 7 - Scott to 6 & Sam to 7 perhaps?

Nick, do you know why Finlay Sinclair has moved after a few games into the season? And why he left BS to spend only one season at Cindy?

Nothing firm I'm afraid. I think I remember that Cinderford had picked up some new front row players this season including one or two hookers.

With Chris Locke out for several compulsory weeks and Gareth Turner doing an essential job covering 7 with all our back row injuries, I can see why Civ signed another hooker. There's only so many DRs and loaners you can play at a time

Fair comment, Nick, thanks.
As a matter of interest, do you an update on the recoveries of JLR
and RVH?

Cinderford seem to be picking up Dr players from Worcester academy for this season.
