Wainwright departs Wolves for Salford

Warrington Wolves forward Mike Wainwright has left the club to return to Salford City Reds for whom he played for during 2000-2002. Wainwright was out of contract at the end of the season and was already told that he would be leaving the club as no new contract would be offered, so has decieded to return the Willows to see if he can help keep the City Reds in the Super League.

Warrington Wolves forward Mike Wainwright has left the club to return to Salford City Reds for whom he played for during 2000-2002. Wainwright was out of contract at the end of the season and was already told that he would be leaving the club as no new contract would be offered, so has decieded to return the Willows to see if he can help keep the City Reds in the Super League.

Mike played over 240 matches for the Wolves scoring 128 points in the process, and was also awarded a Testermonial during 2006 for his hard work at the Wolves both on and off the field.
