Albion Ladies v Rosslyn Park 6th May 2006Whilst Westcountry Warriors finish off their fixture against Redruth the ladies team will be attempting to get their first win of the season against current bottom of the table Rosslyn Park.  Last time they met Albion came away winners 38 - 12.

Rosslyn Park have already had 93 points scored against them in two matches only crossing the opponents line once to pick up 5 points.

Tom Hayes, after Bath pre season matchThe coaching team has been temporary joined by Tom Hayes, who has run a couple of scrummaging sessions for the ladies.  Tom is fighting for fitness for the men's away match at Otley.  Tristian Foster has also had an offer of help with some back sessions by another Albion player which could be next month.

Albion Ladies v Rosslyn Park 6th May 2006The Ladies have had a break from match practice now for two weeks but have been working hard on positive play.  They expect that their fitness and hard training they have been doing will serve them well for the match on Sunday. Tristan Foster, Head Coach, is expecting Rosslyn Park to bring a big forward pack on Sunday but is confident the team will be ready for them.

Albion Ladies v Rosslyn Park 6th May 2006With the universities students coming back to the city and new members of the squad joining they now have a squad of 37 players available for selection. The size of the squad means that they will be able to start their development, Plymouth Barracudas,  side programme next month with a home on 8th October and Royal Navy on 18th October at Keyham Park.

Susie Kendall has taken on the roll of fixtures secretary but has been in hospital knee reconstruction surgery this week and will not be able to play contact rugby until next season.  The team wish her a quick recovery.

If you are coming down to the Warriors match why not go up to the top pitch after.  You should be able to see the whole of the second half which will give the ladies a terrific boost.
