Liskeard & Looe 0

Plymouth Albion Apprentices have been training every other week for the last 6 months and were pitched against a side that include players from Cornwall.

The Apprentice squad range from 15 to nearly 17 and were a real credit to the Albion strip they wore. They looked the part and acted it too. This is the second year that the apprentices have trained at Albion but this is their first real match.

I would like to see this continue and will be watching out for some these young lads pulling on the Warriors or Albion shirt in not so many years to come.

The whole game was played at a very fast pace with the first try being scored in seconds. Of note was the 4 tries scored by Joshua Perkins in the second half.

The Liskeard and Looe coach was amazed at how well Albion preformed considering their limited time training together.

Man of the Match was awarded to number 8 Richard Jenkins who manages to move the ball and  command the back row and could possible be looking at training with the Warriors as early as the end of next season.  He was awarded with a sliver platter by Albion prop Martin Rice.

If you feel that you are upto training with the apprentices watch out for an open training day later on in the year.
