Having finished mid table this season the Ladies will continue to play in the second tier of women's rugby. But this season they are looking for a new coach to take them to the next level.

As with most rugby clubs these days a number of personnel will be moving on with others replacing them in the club. This season the club have managed to retain a most of their key players but after 3 seasons with the club their coach Tristan Forster has moved on to take up a major men's coaching role at his original club, Brixham.
Rachel Tucker retains
the position she made her own last season as team captain and along with England
Scrum-half Georgie Rozario are currently taking the pre-season session. Our ladies have started training in the summer weather, ha ha, but do not
have the key role of coach signed up. Along with Tristan the ladies were also
lucky enough to have the help of the likes of Ed Lewsey, Tommy Hayes, Richard
Oxley among other Albion players that have now moved onto other clubs.
Rachel says that the club have the players and we can get them fit and ready for
the new season but we need someone to come in with some good rugby ideas and be
able to be removed enough to select the team. It needs to be someone who can be
at the training sessions as well as available on match days to "drive"
the team from the side lines. Although the ideally they would like the applicant
to already have a level 2 qualification it is the person and their motivation
that is most important.
The sessions run on a Tuesday and Friday night (7-8:30) at Brickfields with
matches on a Sunday. The 14 league fixtures will be out soon and I expect that
the club will try and arrange some pre season fixtures although this has proved
to be difficult in the past finding local competition.
If anyone is interested in the role give Rachel Tucker a call on 07760461841. If there is no answer please leave a message with your contact details. You can also give Rachel a call if you would like join the club.
