Now the 5 become 4

New Championship
By Frank Stormont
April 11 2009
With a win for Coventry they move out of the relegation zone. But there are still 4 teams fighting it out for the one remaining unallocated relegation slot.

With less than 14 days left in the season (NL1 original) four teams are set in a mini league for the one remaining relegation position.

With results going against form it is still anybodies guess who will compete in National League One (renamed National Two) next season. Newbury, Sedgley, Otley and Manchester have already been relegated. Bristol also can no longer mathematically stay in the premiership. Three of the four teams can stay up by their own results, Titans however will have to rely on other teams failing to avoid the drop.

Games left to play for the mini league teams.

The form book has gone awry recently. Esher have the hardest fixtures - their game v Exiles is a must win for them. Moseley are a good side but with a cup final to distract them. Albion could easily get something from the Leeds fixture but the game at Moseley is more important.

My money is on Esher getting relegated.

If it's any consolation, I have yet to talk to a Chief who would like to see Albion go down. So go and do what we didn't,- - BEAT LEEDS.
