Paul well on the road to recovery...
By Sea_point June 5 2008
A fellow Connacht Supporter flagged an update to me on the current situation of Paul Newton who was attacked in Belfast on the evening of Connacht's Magners League match with Ulster at Ravenhill back in April. The good news is that Paul is at home in Sligo with his family and slowly rebuilding his life. Hopefully that will continue to include supporting the Connacht Rugby team....

Paul Newton

Conancht Supporters will be delighted to hear that Paul Newton writes in his blog www.newton.ie ....

"Hello all, I have not been present for some time, due to a strange attack in Belfast which left me on a life support machine for almost 2 weeks. Happily I am on the road to recovery, have been transferred back to Sligo and am currently attempting to finish my rehabilitation and be well again.

It’s in the last few days I’ve had the chance to review the support and work done on my behalf by many many many friends, I’m truly touched, it means so much to me to know how much people care."

John Reynolds has a lovely new photo of Paul and family  [here]

That's great news about Paul. I continue to hope for his full recovery.

From the looks of the man the coward(s) who attacked him must have taken a metal pipe to fell him. It's a shame they haven't been caught.
