The Independent Connacht Rugby Supporters Club are encouraging supporters to bring a friend to Friday nights game against Edinburgh. Following on from the defeat of Leinster and Dax in the last two weeks, coupled with the 4,000 plus crowd that attended the very entertaining (if slightly damp) London Irish game, there should be a good level of interest in Connacht Rugby at the moment.

Connacht will need a massive, vocal crowd behind them as they face Edinburgh in a crucial tie for Heineken Cup qualification. With three wins out of five game in all competitions, Connacht will take a lot of momentum into the game against to Scottish side.

ICRSC We Want U

I hear a lot of stuff about Connacht's attendance, and I thought maybe we could try to do something about it. After a discussion on the forum about what to do, we decided to 'TARGET' the Edinburgh game to try and bring a bigger crowd to the stadium.


There are a few options here. Ideally, we could buy an extra ticket for the game and drag someone along. Alternatively, we could just convince a buddy/family member to come along and make them pay for themselves.

We as fans can be more proactive about getting more in the gate. If you don't have a handy 20 euro free to spend on a spare ticket, why looking through your phone for people who you know have an interest in rugby. Text them the game details. Kickoff time, Opposition, game importance & where they can find some beer.
