Go Green For Connacht
By Sea_point
April 23 2010
With the game against Toulon now only a week away, it's time to prepare both Support and the City to welcome our guests (Toulon Team, Officials and of course Supporters, and ERC and Match Officals & the Media that are heding out West) to Galway and Connacht and show the pride we all have in our province and not just our Rugby team but all our sporting representatives no m,atter the Code or County.

Businesses in Connacht have been asked to ‘Go Green for Connacht’ next week in the build-up to the big Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final showdown against Toulon.

You can get your Connacht flags from Branch offices at the Sportsgrounds.

Car Flags are now available too meaning the green may well be rivaling the many red Munster car flags zooming around the city these days.

Bank of Ireland, Connacht’s main sponsors, are offering a fantastic prize to the business which displays the best Connacht decoration.

Businesses are asked to display flags, bunting and jerseys and decorate shop fronts and other businesses in the green of Connacht ahead of the big match.

Bank of Ireland will give six hospitality packages to the business — the package will include pre-match meal, match ticket, programme etc — which puts on the best display.

Connacht Rugby will be decorating the windows at the Failte Ireland West offices in Galway city and Galway Chamber of Commerce is supporting the ‘Go Green for Connacht’ scheme through its large network of members.

Big Connacht flags cost €10 euro the car flags cost €5.

Re: Go Green For Connacht
What a great time for Connacht Rugby! It's wonderful to have such interest from so many quarters at the latter end of the season. Even Tony Ward has gone Green , two pro-Connacht articles in one week, that's saying somthing.

For the 1st time there is a real buzz around Galway for Connacht Rugby - let's hope it's here to stay!

The next two weeks offer so much opportunity , let's hope the team continue to deliver.

Finally the West's Awake!
