The newly crowned back to back Super League Champions have today confirmed that World-class full back Brent Webb has had surgery on his spine, to try and fix his injury that made him unavailable for selection for the engage Super League Grand Final.
Brent Webb is expected to be out for between five and six months after having the operation today; prior to this he was unable to sit down without discomfort, and therefore wasn’t with the team to celebrate victory on Saturday at Old Trafford. Straight after the on-pitch celebrations, the whole squad put a mobile phone on speaker and called Brent.
Bluey reassures fans that everyone at the clubs thoughts are with Webb at the moment and that the Leeds Rhinos have a great medical team which will guide him through rehabilitation.
Brent is now in major doubt for the Carnegie World Club Challenge against Manly in February (date and stadium TBC). That came takes place in about four and a half months, but who knows.
