ENGLAND'S WORLD CUP FINAL HOPES ARE OVER

England's hopes of reaching the 2008 Rugby League World Cup Final have died today, after they were knocked out of the competition by New Zealand. England were behind by sixteen points at one stage, but two tries from Danny McGuire still weren't enough for England.

England's hopes of reaching the 2008 Rugby League World Cup Final have died today, after they were knocked out of the competition by New Zealand. England were behind by sixteen points at one stage, but two tries from Danny McGuire still weren't enough for England. 

The game was full of errors from both sides, but it was New Zealand that came out on top, even though the red and whites got to within six points near the closing stages of the game. Benji Marshall won it for them with a late try.
