Results from the Junior section of Exeter Chiefs - Sunday November 5th. Only two Matches were played but 116 points were scored, all by Exeter!
Exeter Chiefs Under 15s
Exeter Chiefs under 15's warmed up for there 1st round Devon cup clash with Ivybridge next week by beating South Molton 71-0 at Sandy Park. This was the Chiefs Under 15s first game at the new stadium and continued there unbeaten run this season with a fine display scoring 37 points in the first half, and a further 34 in the second after rotating the whole squad at the break. South Molton gave a spirited performance and tackled well through out the game but could not breach Exeters’ defence. Exeters’ fly half Daniel Mugford showed some fine individual skill for his two tries, the other tries were from Robert Langley 3,Ryan Mills 4, Ali Hill 2, Alex Ford and Daniel Western 1 each. The Chiefs, however, did not have there kicking boots on, and only converted 3 of the 13 tries, Mills 1 from 7, Mugford 2 from 6.
Exeter Chiefs Under 13s
The Under 13’s welcomed Exmouth to Withycombe ( the shortest away match trip for them this season) for their second meeting having lost to them in September. It was a late kick-of time of 11.30 and this seemed to suit the players as for the first time this season the team started at a high pace and in determined fashion. Matthew Lloyd opened the scoring early on and the team maintained their dominance throughout the game.
Although Exmouth made some good breaks and came close to scoring on several occasions the Chiefs managed to prevent them crossing the line, finally running out 45 – 0 winners.
Try scorers were Matthew Lloyd, Alec Wheatley (2), Ricky Stubberfield, Tom Gaisford (2) and Steven Dixon, with Rory Augstberger converting 2 and Ricky Stubberfield converting 3.
