Re: Fixture List 2009/10
first thoughts is that on my wedding day is Albion at home, home much does it cost to cancel a wedding!! (I'm ok she doesn't read this!!) Unless we can convince the club to kick off around 9am. (Sm115)

Bristol at home boxing day looks good as long as trains are running ok.

Last 4 games look tough just hope by then the season is all wrapped up to get us into the playoffs

Pirates at home on the 14th of Novemember with Albion away the weekend after is also going to be fun

it just looks like an expensive year with lots of away games to go to with Albion and Pirates in the cup groups as well

Looks interesting with having to go to Nottingham, Bristol, Bedford & Donny in the first half of the first bit of the season.

Agree with devonandy it is a potentially tough run-in to the play-offs but also a good way for the team build momentum.

Shame no trip to Ireland!

Well great, fine and dandy. The ONE week-end I have set aside next season for a little bit of skiing is the Bristol match.

I knew I shouldn't have taken that early offer.

Bear in mind that these are only draft fixtures, open for discussion at a meeting next week. Bristol for a start have to see when the Rovers are playing etc.

Why are Nottingham our first and last game of the season, when we play everyone else in the same order in the first and second half of the season?

At a guess that is to accomodate the pirates request not to have any derbys in september.

Oh dear! Bristol on Boxing day, that's going hurt the domestic bliss.
I'm sure the wife's family won't notice the empty chair at the table.

Maybe devonandy can take your place, he seems to make important arrangements for darby days, so he might not mind missing this one as well. (Sm22)

Looks like I'll be missing this one as well due to Christmas in Cornwall, might be able to watch them play Plymouth on the 27th.... Unless there are sensible trains to come back on

One of next seasons potential sellouts at Sandy Park is home to Bristol on December 26th. Not the best planning by The RFU, there will be no public transport running.

the words RFU and good planning don't go together IMHO.

Re: Fixture List 2009/10
could the club move the game to the sunday?? There'd be more trains so people could get there and most people would have the Monday off as it is a bank holiday...... (plus i could go...)

Good point and well made.
After all aren't the early fixture list for these faults to be spotted and changed, sure Bristol would approve their used to Sunday games.

Sounds good to me. It'll let me walk off the Xmas dinner or Drinks or both (Sm64) on Boxing Day.

Should make for a nice sell out on Boxing Day and a few beers to wash down the Xmas Dinner. Can't believe I'm thinking about Xmas before June.
Some very exciting clashes ahead. Still wish we had the chance to go to Leinster or Scotland instead of Camborne or Plymouth, still we can still go to Newport.

Re: Fixture List 2009/10
As I highlighted in a previous thread. One of the potential sellouts at Sandy Park next season will be played on a day where there is no public tranport running. This will be a inconvenience to both sets of fans no doubt, especially given the presure on parking in and around Sandy Park.
