A few reflections on what has been a very eventfull few days.

Exeter Chiefs Promoted to Premiership
YEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!
The final game has been well documented and commented on by many so I'll not go over that ground again. Although I and many other Chiefs fans haven't stopped grinning since. On Saturday Exeter High Street was full of good will from a large contingent of fans and onlookers who gathered to watch the open top bus parade to a civic reception at the Guild Hall. Several 'fellow' Premiership sides were represented as I personally spoke to Wasps supporters and both Newcastle and Sarries shirts were spotted in the crowd. The players and management beamed with delight, not only at their achievement but also the numbers who turned out to salute them. So goodbye to the Championship and looking forward to our first season in the Premiership.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the many fans from both Premiership and Chamionship sides for their congratulations and warm greetings. The Tribe site was swamped following our win and it's been difficult to keep up with the number of new posts (thankfully it's settling down now). I want to particularly acknowledge the generosity of Bristol fans who must feel shattered by not rejoining the Prem next season. I wish them well and hope they can ride out what is likely to be a difficult time.
Many Chiefs fans have commented on how unreal things feel and how little things like an appearance in the Premiership list on Sportnetwork has helped them realise IT IS REAL. Rob & Co. have started recruitment and the players will soon be back for pre-season. I'm not sure when they'll be back but normally this would be in June but hopefully they will get some decent relaxation in. Although I'm sure they will have 'personal plans' from Paddy to keep them in shape.
So, we now look forward to seeing the fixture list and setting about planning next seasons visits.
Just noticed that you've been moved onto the list of premiership clubs in the sportsnetwork navigation thingy. Congratulations on your promotion, and welcome. Hope to get down to Exeter when we play you next season.
