Glaws face Wasps, Falcons and Dragons in EDF
By Cherry Picker July 8 2008
There's a touch of animal magic about the EDF Cup draw for Gloucester, who face matches against Wasps, Falcons and Dragons in Pool A. They'll be at home in two of the games and make the long jouney to Newcastle's Kingston Park for the third as they hope to go further than last season, when they went out at the pools stage.

Glaws start with a live television home game against Wasps on Saturday, October 4. They then face the Dragons on the weekend of October 25/26, and finish with a trip to Newcastle on the weekend of November 1/2.

EDF draw:
Pool A: Newport-Gwent Dragons, London Wasps, Gloucester Rugby, Newcastle Falcons.
Pool B: Cardiff Blues, Bath Rugby, Sale Sharks, Leicester Tigers.
Pool C: Ospreys, Harlequins, Worcester Warriors, London Irish.
Pool D: Llanelli Scarlets, Northampton Saints, Saracens, Bristol Rugby.

Semi-finals March 28/29, final April 18/19 at Twickenham.

Are you sure that Munster knocked you out of the EDF semis?

Drat and dash ... that was the HC wasn't it? My memory's not what it was - it's an age thing.

Is it? What happens then ... a new comp, or no comp at all? Din't I read somewhere that the EDF prize money is bigger than the Heineken Cup.
