Leaders Quins will test Glaws at Kingsholm

Olly Barkley
By Cherry Picker September 18 2008
It doesn't get any easier for Gloucester as they try to find consistent form in the opening stages of the Guiness Premiership. After losing at ome to Leicester, Glaws bounced back at Bath, and now leaders Harlequins bring their good early-season for to Kingsholm as Dean Ryan looks for some consistency from his team.

After missing the pre-season fixtures and the first two games of the season with his wrist injury, Olly Barkley could be in line for his Glaws debut, though after last weekend's win at Bath he might have to be happy with a place on the bench.
After coming in at fly-half for Ryan Lamb last weekend, Willie Walker surely deserves to keep his place at fly-half after scoring 16 of Gloucester's 21 points, but Ryan can be expected to make changes to his team.
James Simpson-Daniel, GloucesterMeanwhile, James Simpson-Daniel (right) says he's not too happy with his personal form at the start of the season.
He told the Citizen: "I was happy getting a bit more ball in the game against Bath, but I was making a couple of little mistakes that are, in my opinion, out of character.
"It's not ideal to do it, as someone pointed out, 25 metres from Martin Johnson, but hopefully he's been watching over the years and chatting with our coaches and can see that it's not something I do every day.
"It annoys me. but I'm not going to lose much sleep about it. I would have liked a bit more ball against Leicester as well, so it was not the perfect start for me. But saying that, last season I didn't have a great start to my season and it ended up being one of my best."
quins are top of the table courtesy of winning both their opening games, 24-21 againt Saracens at Twickenham and 31-13 at home to Bristol.
With confidence high, they'll pose a real test, but Glaws know they are capable of winning any game at home, and after the Leicester setback, it's important they do just that.

It has potential to be a cracker on Saturday. Bit of sun on Kingsholm and we could finally get the game of running Rugby that the ELVs were supposed to bring.
