Ryan signs new prop - so is he staying?

DR - done deal

Gloucester have signed another prop for their 2009-10 squad, but the most significant part of the deal is that it appears to have been carried out by coach Dean Ryan. Under normal circumstances, that would mean little, but circumstances at Kingsholm aren’t normal right now and Ryan’s comment on the deal suggest he is staying in his job.
Owner Tom Walkinshaw says there will be no announcement on the result of his end-of-season post-mortem review until next week, but it is Ryan who has commented on prop Paul Doran-Jones joining the club, and the new player says meeting Ryan was part of his reason for signing the deal.
He told the club website: “I met up with Dean Ryan and Carl Hogg and what they had to say about developing me as a player really struck a chord."
D-J, who can play on either side of the front row, joins the club from London Welsh. He started his career with Lansdowne while he was at university in Dublin, followed by a spell with King’s Country in New Zealand and four seasons with Leinster before he switched to London welsh for the last two seasons.
At 24, he’s certainly been around, but he could have his work cut out earning a regular place at Kingsholm.
Ryan, meanwhile, says the newcomer is a player for the future.
The question is, what future does Ryan have at Kingsholm?

I wonder how the players feel about DR staying. There could be a split between those who support him and those that dont.

Maybe it is a cunning plan. Leave it late so once the details of the review are announced it is too late for any disgruntled players* to move because all the other clubs have used their budgets up for next season.
* - if indeed there are any disgruntled players left.
