Thrills All Round

Hats off to the Aviva Premiership. The festive games provided a veritable feast of rugby full of skill, tension and drama - and we finally played our part with a backs to the wall one point win at Chiefs.

It has to be said that, unlike the Heineken Cup,  Premiership league matches are often turgid affairs which have you reaching for the remote control.

Not this Christmas when every game produced entertainment of the highest order.

Our game at Chiefs was one of the more dramatic in a game which went right to the wire.

Chiefs had much more of the terittory, and looked the more threatening throughout, but we took our chances and when they made a desperate attempt to clinch the game at the end we held on for a 26-25 win which showed real character.

Nerve wracking for the Glaws faithful and wonderfully entertaining for the neutral.

After the successive home defeats we needed this result and a pefromance from the pack. We got both and we must build on that foundation if we are to get anything from this Friday's game against Sarries.

Once again it's on the telly and let's hope the entertainment continues.
